All the occupants had been born in County Mayo.

On January 27th 1874 Pat Nolan aged 25 a bachelor and labourer of Shramore, Newport was married to Bridget Noone aged 25, a spinster of Shramore, Newport, in the Roman Catholic Chapel of Newport by James Stephens C.C.. Witnesses were Thomas McManamon and Mary McIntyre. Pat’s father was John Nolan, a farmer, who was dead and Bridget’s was Thomas Noone, a farmer.
