James McGowan died on the 22nd March 1954 at Comploon, Newport. He was aged 78 and a widowed farmer. Cause of death was old age probably no medical attention. Death was notified by his son in law James Moran.


John Cusack, a farmer aged 33 of Bleachyard, Newport was married to Mary Lavelle of Skirdagh, Newport in the Roman Catholic Church of Newport on 11th February 1908 by Canon Grealy.
